CRUZ continues supporting talent in 2023 renewing one of its most powerful 2023 sponships: BH-COLOMA TEAM, cyclist team directed by Carlos Coloma and leading by David Valero, two of the greatest athletes and olympic medalists of Spain.
The fifth season starts for the new team, and it’s a new team because it has renewed not only its image, but also its name and this year it is BH-COLOMA TEAM.
Also, it counts on David Valero as the team leader, being the number 1 of UCI ranking, Natalia Fischer as current winner of Europa XCM, Pablo Rodríguez and Rocío del Alba. Furhermore there are also new signs: Jofre Cullell, an elite runner and the argentine player Catriel Soto, that knows how is being a winner in the world cup.
The team started the competition on February the 2nd in Huelva, in the Leyenda de Tartessos. It has been a success for the BH Coloma Team. A great teamwork has been crucial to do a perfect job that has resulted in three consecutive victories for Jofre Cullell and another for David Valero. Rocío García was also on the podium in the first stage and finished 6th overall.
Among the top five elite men are Catriel Soto closing the Top5, David Valero 4th and Jofre Cullell at the top, taking the overall with a highly satisfactory sensation debuting with the team. It seems that everything is going in the right direction, the hard work of the winter comes to light.
Some of the greatest news are that the proyect has its main goal in Olimpics Games of Paris 2024 and the World Cup.
Carlos Coloma is the director of the project and there’s no better leader: spanish athlete that competed in MTB cross-country discipline. He participated in three Summer Olimpic Games, between 2008 and 2016, and he won a bronze medal in Rio de Janeiro 2016, he came in six place in London 2012 and the 28º in Pekin 2008. For his part, David Valero, team captain, is another recognised spanish athlete that compete in MTB cross-country discipline. He participated in two Summer Olimpic Games, he win a bronze medal in Tokio 2020 in the individual race and he came in ninth in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
