CRUZ has the great pleasure to start collaborating as a sponsor of Cannondale Vas Arabay, UCI cross country marathon team.
The team closed the year 2022 as seventh in the world ranking of the International Cycling Union (UCI) of the specialty, being the best Spanish team in this classification and 2023 begins full of novelties. The first new is related to its name, changing it to Cannondale Vas Arabay. The second is related to the members that make up the team. The team’s goals for the season are ambitious, that’s because they are counting on great cycling figures to achieve them.
The project is led by Jordi Bellès, as General Manager and Albert Bellès as Technical Director. The team is made up of Roberto Bou (Spanish XCUM champion), Francisco Herrero (sub-champion of the Titan Desert Morocco), three new international female signings: Greete Steinburg (7th Ranking UCI MTB XCM 2022), Mónica Calderón (1st position Sea Otter Europe XCM UCI) and Fina Casadey (numerous participations in international competitions), and two powerful male figures: Raúl Bermúdez (winner of the XCM Spanish Cup) and Miguel Muñoz (Victory in Cumbres de Polje) a great figure of Spanish international cycling and ambassador of CRUZ.
The Cannondale – VAS – Arabay calendar for 2023 will continue marked by the most prestigious mountain bike stage races in the world and they will be fighting for the top positions starting the competition in the Costa Blanca Bike Race and they will continue in the Mediterranean Epic, Andalucia Bike Race, Absa Cape Epic, VOLCAT, 4 Islands, Titan Desert Morocco, Andorra Epic Series, Swiss Epic, Catalunya Bike Race, Titan Desert Almeria, Brasil Ride Bahia, Titan Desert Saudi Arabia, in addition to national and European championships and some Gravel competition.
